PROPOSED CONFERENCE. FRANCE AND GERMANY ARB NOT INTERESTED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright SYDNEY. October 27. In reference to the Japanese suggestion that a conference of the Powers be held to discuss matters containing possibilities of friction in the Pacific, the .Consuls-fleneral of Germany and France, interviewed, stated that they did not consider there were any points of possible friction for Franco and Germany to discuss. The opinion is generally held in foreign circles hero that the only likely friction which could he discussed is one between China and Japan on the' one side and America and Australia on the other. The Continental Powers have nothing to discuss, and it would he foolish to allow themselves to he dragged in.
