A strike of camel-owners has assumed serious proportions in the Port Hedlaud-Marble Bar route, from the north-west (Pilbarra) goldfields to the coast. Forty armed Afghans haro taken possession of the road, and will not allow teams with foodstuffs or other materials to proceed inland. All available police have been sent to the scene.
