AN ABORTIVE CONFERENCE. By Telegraph— Press Association—Copyright (Received September 11, 9.25 p.m.) LONDON, September 11. A joint conference of representatives of tho master spinners and cotton operatives, held at Manchester, failed to arrive at a settlement in regard to tho proposed 5 per cent, reduction in wages, which tho operatives have decided to resist. Efforts aro being made to secure a further conference on tho subject.
