STOCK SALES. UPPER HUTT. Balgety and Company, Limited, held their fortnightly sale ai the Uuper Hutt yards on Thursday, when a good entry of both sheep and cattle cam© forward. The Wellington brokers hold their fortnightly sale yesterday of wool, skins, hides, tallow, and sundries. There was bright bidding for wool and sheepskins, both of which showed an advance of about lb. There was good competition for hides. Prices averaged as follows; Wool:—Medium crossbred 4d to 5Jd, inferior 2d to 4d, lambs wool 4d to sd, pieces and locks Id to 2d, good crutchings 3id to 33d, medium crutchings 23d to 31d, seedy and inferior l|d to 2Jd. Skins.—Fine crossbreds 5d to 6Jd, crossbred 4d to sd, dead skins 2d to 3id, dead noggets 2d to 31d, dry pelts Id to 3d, lambskins 3d to 4£d, green skins 2s 6d to 4s 7d.
