A MAORI LEPER
PRESS ASSOCIATION. CHRISTCHURCH, September 11. A North Island Maori suffering from leprosy was brought from Wellington by tho Hinemoa. Ho was under the care of Dr Potnare and Inspector Pukanika, of the Health Department. In the afternoon the unfortunate man was taken to Quail Island, where a cottage has been, erected for his accommodation. There are two other lepers on the island, one of whom has much improved since he went there last November.
