ALLEGED UNWORKABLE REGULATIONS. PRESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, April 11. Tho regulations gazetted on February 27tih regarding the importation of fruit into New Zealand are pronounced unworkable by tho Cook Islands. Tho Federal Cbuncdl at Rarotonga decided to urso the New Zealand Government to appoint its own officer as fruit inspector in the Cook Islands, with power to issue a certificate that would be accepted in the Dominion, tho salary to be paid by the Cook Islands, and the inspector to bo under tho control of tiho New Zealand Government.
