■ FATE OP LORD KITCHENER'S SISTER-IN-LAW. ■ Details of the tragic disappearance ol Mrs Edith Kitchener, sister-in-law ol Lord Kitchener, from the Royal Mail / Company's liner Magdalena, were- reported on the vessel s arrival at-South-ampton. The deceased lady (says tho * Star'.), who was a paefeengcf, Buffered greatly from insomnia, and was evidently terribly afflicted by the recent loss of her hnsbattS. The captain ordered that a laddor should be lowered over the ship's i-,-and .f. .member of. the crow descended, and looked, through the porthole. Both ports were Wide open, and the man reported that he could see nothing of Mrs Kitchener. , ,i''
The cabin door was then forced open and the cabin searched, but no trace of the lady was discovered. A boat was lowered, and the neighbourhood of i.. vessel was thoroughly explored, but the body was not recovered. It is surmised tuat alter falling into tho water the lady must have bchouio a prey to sharks,, which infect those waters. .r
