DEBATING CLUB’S ANNUAL ’ MEETING. The annual meeting of the Debating Club in connection with the X.M.C.A. wan held last evening, under the presidency of Mr Eichard Brown. There was a fairly good attendance of members. The committee’s report for the past year showed that the membership of the club was now twenty-two, and tho average attendance at meetings sixteen. The most i satisfactory work of the seesion was in regard to the various interclub debating contests in which members had taken part, and in which on each occasion the club’s representativeo had proved victorious. The balancesheet showed that the club from a financial point of view was in a satisfactory position. The election of officera resulted as followPresiuent, Mr Eiohaid Brown; vice-presidents, Messrs F.
