“THE NEW THEOLOGY.”
“The new theology” is becoming very popular at Home, states the Rev. H. Knowles Kempton, a Baptist minister who arrived in New Zealand yesterday from London. No doubt, he said, the Rev. R. J. Campbell’s doctrine's were making groat headway. Many who had previously held views similar to those of Mr Campbell had not made the fact public, but tho utterances of tho exCongrogational minister who had roused so much interest and controversy in England had encouraged them to come into tho open and declare their views. On tho other hand, according to Mr Knowles Kempton, more orthodox religion has benefited from tho examination of beliefs, which has led many people to realise more definitely where they stand.
