PBEB3 ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, April 9. The Mayor (Mr Myers) expressed to Mr Puckett Unritd States ConsulGeneral, on behalf of the citizens, appreciation of the fact that the American fleet is to honour Now Zealand with a visit, and assured him that no effort would be wanting to make their stay here enoyable. The Gomel expressed his thanks, and stated the exact date of tho visit was not yet fixed, hot it was unlikely that- 1 1 would be before, the end of August.
