SUEZ CANAL RATES

Mr Deakin, Prime Minister, in reply to a question in the House of Representatives, said representations had been made to the British Government that the time had arrived when a reduction in the Suez Canal rates should be made. When the communication, which was now on its way home, reached its destination, a copy would be laid on the table.
