Tho Jewish method of slaughtering animals is still exciting tho minds of tho local Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. At last night’s mooting the chairman (Mr J. H. Parker) said ho thought the society having gone so far m the matter should ask for another demonstration of slaughtering at which some prominent oitiMiis sufficiently courageous to afterwards express their opinions should attend.

Mr D. B. McLaren naked if the Rabbi would give another demonstration of killing. Mr Spillcr said ho thought ho would not.

It was decided that tho City Council be asked to arrange another demonstration of tho various methods of slaughTer, to bo witnessed by a number of prominent citizens.
