EIGHT BODIES RECWERJ3D. By Telegraph-Press Association—Copyright LONDON, April 6. The two old houses next . Berner’s Hotel, • which collapsed yesterday, burying many persons in tho ruins, fell without warning. There were thirtyfive inmates.
Eight bodies have been recovered, and twenty-one persons rescued alive. Hundreds of police and firemen put forth tremendous, exertions to extricate the others. The accident was duo to disturbance of the foundations while rebuilding work was being done at on adjoining warehouse.
