For drunlrenno-R Hr-nry Alien wn« fined IDs, in default forty-right hours' imprisonment, and Charles Arney was font to gaol for a month. William-Cunnnings, who wa« found by night without lawful escu<?e on tho premises of George Haskell, at 123, street, was to threo months’ imprisonment. For wilfully damaging n table valued at 12-5, the property of George Haskell, the same accused was sentenced to fourteen days' imprisonment, the sentences to be concurrent. Franklin TTalse Ken worthy was charged with fraudulently obtaining money from Joshua Morris, by representing himself to lx? an agent of the Prisoners’ Aid Society. Ho was remanded to appear on Friday next.

Philip Milno (Mr Toogood) sued Maurice Seigol (Air Hindmnrsh) for return of a book of crests, or £lO. The defendant admitted having received tho book on Imm. but said he had since lost it. Samuel Brown, Ltd., produce merchants. Johnston street, sued Oney Higgins. carrier, 7, Hanson street, for .£3 9s 9d. due for goods supplied. Tho defendant said that ho could not remember owing for anything, as he had paid rash in his dealings with the plaintiffs for fourteen years. , . His Worship said that the plaintiffs books were more reliable than the defendants memory, and gave judgment for the plaintiffs for the amount claimed, with costs J3l 14s. Mr Ivirkcaldie appeared for the plaintiffs. Max Deokston, dealer. Kent terrace, sued Mrs H. Witborne, 32, College street, for ,£3 Ss. clue as rent, and possession of tenement. Judgment was "iven for tho amount claimed, and for possession by April 28th, with costs 11s.
