At Her Majesty’s Theatre, Melbourne, “Humpty-Dumpty" is getting into bis figures, and haring dispossessed “Mother Goose" of the record week and sundry other distinctions is now within measurable distance of beating last year’s production for length of run. It has passed its fiftieth performance apparently as full of running ns ever, tho audiences which throng the theatre maintaining the same gratifying level as regards numbers. Indeed one of the features of the run has been the remarkable steadiness of the attendances. Except for a few notable nights the returns show that, tho nightly totals aggregating by this time something over 100.000 people, have, respectively only a small difference between them. As regards enthusiasm, this certainly oho-,vs no sign of waning—but rather on the contrary of increasing as the audiences become more familiar with tho various features, anticipating their favourites and heartily responding to them at their conclusion. Altogether “Hivnpty-Dnm'p-ty’’ may now be confidently said to have passed tho regions of mere success and become a triumph superior even to “Mother Goose."
