YESTERDAY'S STOCK SALES. (From Our Correspondents.) JOHNSONVILLE. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report; —Wo had, a full entry of bullocks, mostly prime quality, but not heavy. Bidding was slow’ throughout, and beef was fully 2s per 1501 b lower than at last sale. Beef made up to 22s per 1001 b. Best bullocks T 9 5s to <£9 12s 6d each, others <£B 10s to <£9 2s 6d, light £7 10s to T 8 ss. A poor yarding of sheep, including a few shorn sheep, sold at last week's rates. Shorn ewes 15s lOd, shorn, wethers 16s lOd to 17s Cd, woolly ewes 255, light wethers 21s to 255, lambs (plain) 10a 6d to 11s. There was a good yarding of porkers and bnconers. Pork sold up to 42d, baconers 3:ld. MARTON. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report;—We had a fair entry of sheep. Wether hoggets 18« 2d, fat and forward ewes 17s, mixed wethers and ewes 18s, fat cows £5 5s 6d. PAHIATUA. Abraham anti Williams, Ltd., report: —Wo had a good yarding, and there was a satisfactory attendance. Prices showed a slight advance. Medium fat bullocks .£7 10s* 3 and 4-year bullocks, £5 to T 5 11s, springing cows T 5 15®, empty cows £2 lls, 2-year heifers <£2, fat cows T 4 12s Gd, bulls T 3 12s 6d, fair ewes and lambs I9s 5d to 20® lid, medium hoggets 16a 9d, good I9s Gd. ! FRUIT AND PRODUCE. WELLINGTON QUOTATIONS. The warmer weather has induced a better demand in the local fruit market;-., but since the arrival of Fijian, bananas and pines ou Saturday last practically no other lincis have been offering. A few crates of, strawberries came to hand yesterday from Aucklond, and very shortly supplies from the Wellington province* me.y be expected. Local apples are practically finished for tho season, and the tamo remark applies to Tasmanian. The inqury consequently null be thrown heavily upon Californian, which are eagerly inquired for, Sydney fruit duo to-day will go into excellent distribution owing to the dearth of New Zealand-grown. Apples, best 7s to 10s case; gooseberries, 5s to 7s half-case; str a w berries, choice Is 3d to Is 5d per box.
