THE CARTERTON SHOW.

It is expected that the exhibits • of live stock at the Wairarapa show on 20th and 21st inst., at Carterton, will bo of the usual high quality, the later dates of the fixture materially assisting exhibitors. The society has been presented with many valuable special prizes for the various horses, cattle and sheep classes. In the latter section may be mentioned Messrs Quibell Bros’, challenge cup for most points in any one of the principal classes in -stud sheep. Mr Douglas offers a challenge cup for most points in Southdowns. The Now Zealand Sheep Breeders’ Association offers a silver shield for champion English Leicester ram. Messrs Thomas and Cook offer £5 for most points in the Eomney Marsh sheep. Entries close next Saturday with the secretary, Mr Hr S. Moss, at Carterton.
