Captain McDonald, Mr Vile and the ihoirman reported that they had carefully inspected the portion of the Petono Western school site which the Board had been advised to purchase, and were of opinion that the back portion was quite unsuitable for a school ground. The report was adopted, and it was decided to take the necessary steps to acquire the land recommended. PAHIATUA SITE.

Mr Tile and the chairman reported that they had inspected the site under purchase at Pahiatua. The whole site of seven , acres originally offered, and recommended for purchase by the school committee, was a rectangle of about eight chains deep from west to cast by about eight and three-quarter chains frontage on the town or western side.
