THE CHRISTCHURCH CAMPAIGN.' PIUESS ASSOCIATION. CHRISTCHURCH, September 27. The Amount collected to-day for the Y.M.C.A. Building Fund totalled .£532, making to date £ll,OOl, of which <£1857 was collected by the young men's team. In connection with the Y.M.C.A. building movement and the Gordon Hall Trust Fund, the following authoritative statement was made to a "Press’ reporter to-day The trustees of the Gordon Bovs’ Hall Trust have .£IO,OOO at their disposal. They consider that the beat means of achieving the object Sir John Hall had in view is to unite with the present movement initiated by the Y.M.C.A. by giving that association the use of <£sooo of the moneys available, in the event of <£15,000 (including the <£5000) being collected. Arrangements are being made to ensure that the boys will have the right over a portion of the premises to be erected. The trustees have power to donate any part of the £IO,OOO, and can give any part of it to the Y M.C.A. it it is thought to be in the best interests of the boys to do so.
