TLe steamer P'atroolus, from Brisbane and Sydney, with a general cargo, went ashore on the rocks on Portland. Island, on the coast of Dorsetshire, during a fog. There is fifteen feet of water in her forehold, and she is likely to become a total wreck. The Patroclus, of the Oceanic S.S. Company, is a steel screw - steamer of 5509 tons, and was built at Belfast in 1896. In charge of - Captain E. 6. Dickens, she left Brisbane on July 6th, Sydney July 12th, Melbourne July 18th, and Adelaide July 25th, for London, Liverpool, and Glasgow.
