The Wellington district branch of the Liberal and Labour Federation meete this evening at eight o clock. Entries for the Hawke’s Bay A. and P. Society’s show close on October 2nd. Beere invites tenders for earthwork, timber retaining walls, etc. The Tourist and Health Resorts Department invites tenders for the supply of temporary electric lighting plant for the new bath buildings at Rotorua. Co. sell this forenoon, at 11 o’clock, on the ground, corner of Aitken street and Molesvrarth street, building timber, galvanised iron, red pine beams, totara posts, sashes, shelving, piping, doors, verandah posts, etc.; also, at ■ 1.30 o’clock at the residence of Mr T.
