The amendments made in committee to the Dunedin Suburban Gas Company Empowering Bill were agreed’ to on the motion of Mr Arnold. LEAVE OF ABSENCE. One leave of absence .wap granted to Mr Wilford on account of illness, and three days to the Southern Maori member, Mr T. Parata, in consequence of his recent bereavement. TARIFF. The House went into committee fo the purpose of further considering tlv TariS Bill, the discussion upon which continued throughout the afternoon and evening. Class twelve, dealing with manufactures of metal, was adopted, and at 1 a.m. the House rose.
