LAND SETTLEMENT
LEASE-IN-PHRPET CITY TENANTS. In view of the proposal to grafit the option of the freehold to Crown tenants under the lease-in-perpetuity tenure, a return presented to Parliament upon the motion of Mr Izard is of great interest. It shows that the number of leascs-in-perpetuity granted is 12,692, while 7201 of the original tenants are still in possession.
