It is understood that a proposal is on foot for a federation of the Slaughtermen's Unions of -New Zealand, The proposal originated m Wellingtou. where a conference's hkely to be held at an early date. The Otago Slaughtermen's Union has approved the idea, and will be represented at the conference. * • An agreement has been arrived at between the Slaughtermen's Union and the proprietors of the Burnside Breezing Works (Christchurch Meat Company).
