SAILORS’ REST.
(To the Editor “N.Z. Times.") Sir,—On behalf of my committee, I bog to return thanks to tho following ladies and gentlemen, who have kindly contributed to tho success of tho above institution dining tho last month;— Airs W„ 7s lid; Mrs Ihilp (assistance in food for two destitute cases), Mr .duller, Mrs Von. Rotter and Mrs Schulz, Mrs McCauley, Mrs Badliam, Messrs A. and W. Mackay and Aitkon, tho Wellesley Club, Public Library, Parliamentary Library and Commercial Travellers’ Club. Mus’cal items were contributed by tho following ; —Mesdamcs Natusch and G. Anderson, Misses Benge and Anderson, the Island Bay orchestral band, and Mr A.. S. Ballauce. Each concert was enthusiastically received by a crowded house. The resources of the Rest have been severely taxed, and anv donation;;, especially underclothing or'boots, would bo most gratefully' accepted and issued with discrimination. — I am, etc., J. W.
