OBITUARY
A cablegram from Paris announces the death of Mr Lionel Declo, the African explorer, at the age of forty-eight. The death of Sir August Manns, formerly musical director of the Crystal Palace, is announced by cable from London. Sir August was eighty-two years old. Ho held his position at the Crystal Palace from 1855 to 1905. PRESS ASSOCIATION. THAMES, March 4. General regret is expressed at the Thames at the death of Mr Alfred Price, senior pa’tner of the wellknown firm of Price Bros., engineers, who have mado the Thames famous for the quality and magnitude of its worlE The deceased was held in high esteem. His age was sixty-nine years. Ho leaves a widow and grown-up family.
