The entire Republican ticket in the New York State has elected Air Hughes. Tho returns give bis majority as 55,000. Air Hearst attributes bis defeat to many disaffected Tammany democrats following “Boss’.’ Orokers 'lead. LONDON, November 8. The New York correspondent of the “Times” says the result of the election of Air Hughes as Governor of New York State is sobering, but disappointing to both parties. Air Hearst states that he is resolved to continue tho fight against tho control of the Government by trusts and corrupt corporations. He will bo ready to serve if not allowed to lead. “The Times” states that though Mr Hearst is beaten ho is certainly not finally discomfited. The “Pall Alall Gazette” states that the intensity of the anti-trust feeling is the most abiding impression of tho election.

President Roosevelt is reported to bo disgusted at the smallness of Air Hughes’s majority.
