A FINE MOTOR
A magnificent motor-car containing a But Parliamentarians—Sir Joseph , Messrs A. Kidd, and J. Colvin. M.H.K.'s—attracted considerable attention as it ran through the city yesterday. This very fine specimen of the most modem means of transport is the latest model 30 horse-power four-cylinder Cadillac cat, a type of. car that commands the respect of motorists at Home and abroad. It has a guaranteed speed of fifty miles per hour, and possesses a valued attribute in being the nearest approach to a silent-running machine that has vet paosod over the streets of the city. Tho engines aro perfectly governed, a feature tha)t dispensers entirely with the /‘burr” of those that aro apt to race. There ie no alighting in order to giv© the crank a tug in starting the ongiiics, an electrical switch within convenient reach of the driver doing all that is necessary in that regard; tho engines are stopped by the same simple method. The Cadillac is a fine hiliclimber, as was shown yesterday, when it was taken up some of the steepest hiUeide streets. The car. for which Mr F. C. Matthews, of Wellington, is agent, is to bo exhibited at the Hastings show, and afterwards at the New Zealand Exhibition, and for that reason is not for sale. Its catalogue price is .£OOO,
