TRAINING AT HASTINGS. HASTINGS, May 5. Heavy rain yesterday made the course heavy, but a number of gallops were done this morning on the course proper. Douche covered six furlongs in Imin ISsec. Gladsmuir beat Hipnorofla over five furlongs. Solution finished well in front of Mystification, and King Billy covered a mile in Imin 46sec. Gatenby and Pink ’Un each did half-pace work. Pluck beat Ellerton over five furlongs, and Asteroid covered a mile and a quarter in 2min ISsec, finishing strongly. MartelLo spaartly covered four furlongs, and St. Albert beat Moral over six furlongs in Imin 19;->ec. Polyanthus finished in front of Rose- Madder over a mile in Imin ISsec. Porcelain took Imin 7sec to cover five furlongs, going lazily. Operetta beat Whakawehi over seven fnrlongs in Imin 35sec. Grand Slam accounted for Loftus and Lady Mell over five furlongs, which was left behind in Imin 4sec. Miss Adeleane ran away from Waikoura over three furlongs! Sweet Helen accomplished five furlongs in Imin ssec, and Hiki beat Montijo over a mile, run in Imin 49seo. Royal Fusilier took 50seo to run four furlongs. Oryx, alone, went once round over hurdles, jumping proficiently. Cinque finished in front of Kaipetipeti Nadador and Comfort finished together at the end of a circuit.
