HUMBLE BEES. Tlio humblo bees which are being imported by the Paparoa for Canterbury aro six queens of tho species bombus lapidarius and nine of bombus hortoriim. Writing of tho consignment, Mr F. W. L. Siaden says: “Tho number would have been much greater if 1 could have included bombus terrestris and tho closely allied sub-species bom--1 bus lucorum. Tho Agricultural .Department is also having a consignment of humblo bees selected in England for shipment to Now Zealand.
