ENTERTAINMENTS.

OPERA HOUSE. “King Dodo" was staged at the Opera House yesterday for the lust time. There was a large audience, including the members of the Melbourne <'ticket Club, at present playing at Wellington. To-night a famous comedy will be produced—" Tho Widow O'Brien." THEATRE ROYAL. Tbo Theatre Royal lias been well patronised throughout the week. The usual change of programme will bo presented to-night, when tbo Fuller management will introduce some fresh talent. “Tho Two Kranks.” experts in comedy specialties, will make their bow, and Miss C'eciie Stephens, contralto, will also be seen for tho first time. In St. Mark's Schoolroom last evening a (ado of work, organised by the St. Mark’s branch of the Ministering Children's League, was held in aid of tho Wellington Chinese Mission Fund. Entertainment was provided by limelight views exhibited by Mr Barttrop, and songs illustrated by limelight. The vocalists were—Misses Eva Nash, Carr, and Jones, the Rev S. Handover and Air Bray. Air Nichnlhs recited ‘'Jack of Rhoims." There were three stalls—plain and fancy, flower and lolly—presided over by the children and their friends. The Wellington Musical Union will commence practice nest Monday evening in tho Sydney street room. A moving picture entertainment, entitled ‘‘Living London,” is announc'd to open in the Town Hall on March 20th, under the direction of Messrs J. H. and L. Tait.
