COSSACKS ENTRENCHED. REPRESSIVE MEASURES BY PRINCE OREOFE. WHOLESALE EX ECUTIONS. ST. PETERSBURG, February 22. Cossacks of tlio Urnpsky Regiment, objecting to performing police doty, have entrenched themselves near Rostolf. Troops have been rent to capture them. Prince Orloff. who teas rent to the I’c.Uiu provinces to subdue the revolt, executed twu hundred and fifty-nine suspected persons. He recommends the retention of a strong force in the provinces. PETERS BURG, February 23. A Polish agitator killed a policeman and wounded two soldiers mortally and another slightly before being shot by police in the market place at Pntulsk.
