ELECTION OF THE BOARD. . NOMINATIONS CLOSED. Tho Teachers’ Superannuation Act of last session provides for tho sotting up of a Board of Control consisting of ten members, viz., tho Minister of Education. tho Solicitor-Gonoral, tho Public Trustee, tho Inspector-General of Schools, tho Secretary to tho Treasure, the president of tho Now Zealand Educational Tiirtituto, and four persons to to elected by the contributors from amongst their number, two for each island.

Tho election takes place, according to statute, on tho first Monday in March, that is, tho sth pros. Thomas Hughes, Waltham, Christchurch. Tito Secretary for. Education (Sir E. O. Gihbcs) is tho returning officer. Tho ballot papers must be enclosed in sealed envelopes and posted to him on or before tho day of tho election (oth pirn.), or delivered to him personally before u o’clock on that day.
