PKESS ASSOCIATION. BLENHEIM, January 22. Replying to representations as to the slow progress of work at tho northern (Seddon) end of tho Blenheiin-Waipara Railway, the Afinister of Public Works (Mr Hall-Joncs) states that instructions have been issued to doable the number of men employed, provided the requisite labour can he found in the district. The Minister also explains that the current vote for the whole line—£ls,ooo— to ho expended ns a whole, including hol'i the Seddon and Cheviot ends, and he adds that from present appearances, it seems probable that the whole of this sum will be expended by tho close of Die financial year.
