: The gold medals presented annually to tno Wellington Centre to candidate* in practical subjects by Messrs Urns. Bcgg and Co.. Ltd., tho Drrodon Piano Co.; tho local Committee; and Mr Judan Myors. are now on view at Messrs Hcggn. Willis street, pending the arrival of tho Certificates, when His Excellency tho Governor who is a vioo-prcea-dent of tho College, will bo asked to present thorn. Tho names of tho winners wore announced with the 1905 results in October last. Tho following synopsis furnished by tho Chief Secretary for New Zealand (Mr A. J. Wicks) may bo of interest:
In addition, there were 4 professional candidate!, 2 of whom gained the Diploma of " Associate" (A.T.C.L.) and 3 tho position of "Certificated Pianist." These da not include entries at tho Convent Hilt street, where independent "school" examinations are held. The medals are very handsome and should be prized by the winners. They were made locally.
