It is stated that tho two lowest seams nro estimated to contain 30} million tons of anthracitous coal, and the remaining four seams 24} million tons of bituminous and ficmi-bitumiuons coals. ALiclaurin, D.So., F. 0.5., contains analyses of Paparoa. coal, and also o? the host of other coal measures now being worked in Now Zealand, and his analyses show Paparoa coal to ho great, ly superior to any of tho others. A meeting of intending investors in Wellington appointed Air J. P. Maxwell, A1.1.C.1i., to examine and report on their behalf, with a viow to verifying or otherwise the reports previously obtained. Mr Maxwell’s report is printed in full in tho prospectus, and is highly favourable in tone as to tlio exceptional value of tho property. Tho coal is claimed to be the only workable anthracite or anthracitous coal in Australasia. Tho directors have shown their faith in the property by applying for about one-third of tho contributing shares, and as over ene-half tho required number of shares are already reserved. intending investors would do well to procure from tho brokers tho •prospectus, which contains full report* and much information of interest to them.
