(Extract from the “Frees. ’* Christchurch.l A NEWSPAPER REPRESENTATIVE XAt who recently visited the consulting rooms of Mr F. Webb, specialist and herbalist, of this city, gained some idea of the widespread popularity of his method of successfully combating disease. On tho occasion mentioned, Mr Webb’s appropriately furnished rooms in Colombo street north were filled with patients, and every minute saw Ihe number increasing. From the tone of the numerous authen. tin testimonials received by Mr Webb from persons in almost every part of the colony, who have been cured by his system of herbal and vegetable treatment, it appeare that the cures effected have created a sensation amongst those who have had them brought under their notice. In all over nine thousand cases have been dealt with by his system of treatment throughout New Zealand, and during the eighteen months Mr Webb has. been established in this city he has treat-’ ed close upon fifteen hundred cases. One strong feature of his system is that it does away with the necessity for surgical operations in a largo number of cases where such operations are usually con. sidered necessary. He has removed from the human body various growths, which are usuallv only removed by means of operations. The esteem in which Mr Webb is held by his patients in this city was shown on Monday afternoon, when about one hundred patients and ex. patients waited on him and presented him with an illuminated address and a gold medal. Tho address, which is artistically designed, and is signed by eightythree persons who have been benefited by Mr Webb's system of treatment, refers to Mr Webb’s skilful and valuable services performed in this city and district during the past twelve months. Of some of the cases dealt with tho signatories deem it no exaggeration to say that they border on the miraculous; in some instances complaints of twenty years’ standing have been cured, and in others he has been successful where medical practitioners hhve given them up as incurable.—Address, 23. Qhuznee street, Welliugton. 283
