POULTRY ASSOCIATION.

Special to the “N.Z. Times.” PALMERSTON, November 2. A meeting of tho North Island Poultry* Association was held at Palmerston North to-day. The following societies were represented : —Auckland, Waihi, Newton, Hawera,, Gisborne, New Plymouth, Wanganui. Manawatu, Redding, Napier, Hastings,, Dannevirke. Woodville, Ekotahuna, Welv lington, Pahiatua. Mr J. Jarvis presided, and tho delegates were cordially welcomed by Mr Cohen,, the Mayor. > On the question of two disqualifications it was decided that tho persons concerned should be notified before their cases! are considered. The following dates were fixed for various shows: —Woodville, Juno 6th; Auck-’ laud, June 14th. Xsth. IGth; Waihi, Juno 27th, 28th; Wellington, June 28th, 39th, SOth; Eketahuna, June .X4th, 15th ;New Plymouth, 29th, 30th; Newton, July 6th, 7th; Wanganui, July 4th, sth j Betiding, July 12th, 13th; Pahiatua, 10th, 11th; Hawera, July 18th, 19th- Mastortou, July 17th, 18th; Dannevirke, July 20th, 21st; Napier. July 34th, 25th; Hastings, July 31st, Aug. Ist; Gisborne, July 19th, 20 th; Manawatu, June 20th, 21sl, 23rd. Several new championships were creat, cd, and the following allocations were made; —Hawera, Andalusians, and black Hamburgs; Napier, black Orpingtons; New Plymouth, brown Leghorns; Hast.’ ings, white Leghorns and Game bantams; Manawatu, Minorcas and Dorkings; Wellington, Brahmas and bantams; Wanganui, Indian runner ducks and Indian game; Dannevirke, Langshans and speckled Hamburgs: Podding, golden Wynndottes; Masterton, Plymouth Rocks; Woodville, silver Wyandotos; Eketahuna, white Wyandottes; Pahiatua, partridge Wyandottos; Gisborne, Pekin duofcsi and pencilled Hamburgs, Canaries Auckland. Pigeons—Manawatu, fantail and frills; Newton, magpie and tumbler; Wellington, working homer and dragon. It was resolved to meet at Palmerston North in January next to approve judges-
