The weather was fine for training operations this morning, but the grass, on which most work was done, was heavy, Quarrymnn, without being pressed, beat Gay* Spark by two lengths over ono mile and a quarter in 2min 20 2-ssec. Signalman beat Golden Vein by three lengths over a mile in Imin Kirriemuir defeated Glenowlet in a half-mile gallop easily. Golden Knight and Mahutonga galloped one mile and a half, a pure working gallop, in 2min 55$sec. Veneer beat Mystification over a mile and vi quarter. Tirole easily hold Euclid over six furlongs. Paritutu and Douche ran. six furlongs in Imin 36\sec, the former being much the better. Lady Wayward and Clanchattan ran six furlongs in Imin 2Usec, finishing together. Pas Seul easiJy'defeated Ivanoff over half a mile. It was a smart performance. Stepdancer did tho best gallop of the morning, running a mile and a half alone in 2min 48sec. with over the Cun weight up. Chivalry cantered. Achilles, looking light, did similar work.
