Tbo New Zealand footballers played a watch at Leicester yesterday against a team representing the Midland Counties. Another record attendance was attracted, about twenty thousand persons being present. Tlie Leicester team was fully representative of the Midlands. The Counties team began well in tho second half, securing a try and a goal shortly after play resumed, which was replied to by the New Zealanders with a series of hurricane attacks. Showing excellent combination, they swept down into their opponents’ country, and, by fine dash, broke down tho defence. Roberts crossed tho lino, and a little while later Harper whipped across.
