Woollev, tho American temperance lecturer, distinguished himself by his strictures on tho conduct of our troops in South Africa. These were widely reprinted in the colonv at the time, and caused so much indignation that Mr Woolley decided to cancel his proposed visit to New Zealand befor© the last election.
