Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Mollington, have received tho following cablegram from their London office, dated 20tii inst.:—New Zealand crossbred »ro7.cn lamb, lower by id per lb;.frozen mutton in general, lower by id per lb; frozen beef (sides), prices are at pat to id per lb lower. Although prices .or froeu moat seem low, yet wo think they may decline still further, and there is nothing at present to encourage hopes of an advance. Tallow— Since date of our last telegram tallow in general is higher by 3d to 6d per cwt. Butter —Coponhangon official quotation is unchanged. Tho total imports of butter into the United Kingdom for tlie week ending October 21st, 1905. amounted to 77,000 cwt, as compared I with 72,000 cwt for the corresponding period of last year. More demand for ; unsaltcd than salted. YESTERDAYS WOOL AND SKIN SALES. Levin and Co., Ltd., report:—Wo offered 20 bales of wool, 2700 skins, GOO .hides, and a quantity of horsehair and tallow. The wool offered was only a rough lot, all fleece wool being held for tho first wool sale of the season, to be held on November 17th. Skins ruled at last sale’s prices. Wc quote:—Merinos, B?.d to 9cl; fine crossbreds, B£d to 9d; coarse, 8-Rl to Bsd; dead skins, 7d 'to 7Ad j short wools, 7d to 8d; lamb skins, 8d to BJd; butchers’ green. 7s 6d up to 8s each. Tallow, in casks 20s lOd, tins 17s 6cl, rough fat Ids. Horsehair, Is 2d per lb. Hides—Prices wore barely A\ o quote: Ox hides, od to sid; cow hides, 4id to 4j|d; cut and slippy hides, 3i-d to did; callskins, 5d to G^d.

Sheepskins— Prices were lower by id per lb; good crossbred. 7-Jd to B}d ; green, light 6s to (xs 7d; dead, 7d to 7ld; hoggets, 7id. Hides —Prices were _ slightly lower. Prime ox, od; inferior, 4id to 4|d; slippy, 3ld to 4d; heavy cows, 4Jd to 4|d; slippy and inferior, 3:1 d to 4id; yearlings 4Jd to 41UI; calfskins, 5Jd to s|d ; slinpy, 4UI to od : cow-tails, Is 3d nor dozen : horse hides, 8s Cd.

Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report: — There was a fair attendance of buyers, but speculation was not so kedn as at Into sales. Full-woolled light-condi-tioned skins sold well, but heavy skins were lower by id per lb, as also were all damaged pelted skins. Wo offered about IGOO skins, 23. packages wool, over 400 hides and calfskins, and a quantity of tallow, and quote:—Sheepskins—Merino, half-bred and fine crossbred Sid to 9d; coarse crossbred, 8d to SSd; dead skins, oijd to 7)d; inferior pelted and short wools, 5d to 7-j-d; green skins, cadi 5s 6d to Bs. Hides— Heavy ox, 4jd to s£d; light ox, to od; cow hides, from 4§d to 4-Jd; cut and slinpy hides, from 3Jd to 4d; calfskins, 4d to Oid per lb. Tallow, in tins, from 15s to 18s 3d per cwt.j casks 19s to 30s 6d per cwt. Murray, Roberts and Co. report:— Wo offered a catalogue of 2400 sheepskins, 20 bales wool, and 600 hides and calfskins. Buyers were not present in such force as at the last few sales, and prices for skins were easier by a farthing per lb. Wo catalogued a few. halos of new clip fleece wool, showy, lustrous crossbred in very light condition, which realised lOJd.per lb. Prices ruled as follows:—Wool—Crossbred, .new clip, light condition, 9jd to IOJd per lb; crossbred, medium' (oddments), 8-jd to 9d: crossbred, dead, 6Jd to BJd; crutchings (scoured). 8d to lOd; crutcliings (greasy), 5d to 7d; pieces and locks, 3d to sd. Skins—Merino. 7d to 8)d; half’bred and fine crossbred, 8d to B}d ; crossbred, medium to coarse, 7-Icl to B’.d: crossbred, dead, Gjd to 7Jd. Hides —Ox, 44d to 5Jd per lb; cow, 4d to 4}d; calf, 3|d to 6d; slippy hides, 3d to 4d.

COMMERCIAL CABLES. PRESS ASSOCIATION. LONDON, October 26. According to “Bradstroet’s” estimate the American visible supply of wheat and flour afloat is 44,037,000 bushels. Iron is quoted at 52s lOd por ton. Lead, £l4 17s 6d per ton. An Australian cargo of wheat sold at 34s 3d. Ten thousand quarters of South Australian, November shipment, realised 345.
