THE ELECTIONS.
Mr T. M. Stephens announces that ho proposes to stand for the Newtown seat. Mr Barber will meet members of his late committees and other supporters at Brooklyn on Monday evening and Kilbirnie on Tuesday evening. Mr Hislop is to address tho electors of the Newtown electorate at Brooklyn next Monday evening, at Kilbirhie on Tuesday evening and South Kilbirnie on Wednesday evening. On Friday night a committee meeting will be held at Mitoholltown. PRESS ASSOCIATION. NELSON. October 27. Mr Herman Huddlestone, formerly schoolmaster at Murchison, announces ais candidature for the Motueka seat as a Government supporter.
