COLONIAL CONFERENCE
TO MEET NEXT JULY. (Received October 26, 1.18 a.m.) LONDON, October 25. Tho “Standard” states that invitations to tho Colonial Conference will be issued in February next, and the conference will meet in July, unless any unforeseen obstacle intervenes. The Hon R, B. Wise, replying to Lord Rosebery, states that, instead of taking a plebiscite, the quickest way to ettlo the question of whether tho colonics arc in sympathy with the Tory party-banner would be to summon a Colonial Conference.
