A FRUSTRATED MARRIAGE.
PRESS ASSOCIATION. BIGAAIY PREVENTED. CHRISTCHURCH. October 34. At the Magistrate’s Court t»-dav Herbert Donald Jarvis was coni milted for trial on a charge of making a false declaration for the purpose of procuring a marriage certificate. Evidence was given that on the 9th inst, accused had made a declaration before the Registrar that he was a bachelor, whereas, as a matter of fact, he had been married in June, 1904. Accused was about to go through tho marriage ceremony, after procuring the certificate, but his mother objected on the ground that his first wife was alive.
