POULTRY BREEDING.
Last evening a meeting, convened by Mr V. Barker, of Pet one, was held for the purpose of considering the advisability of forming a New Zealand AVyandotte Club. The proposal to form a club for the whole colony was opposed by Mr J. Jarvis, who contended that such a club would prove unworkable, as the sympa* tides of the two islands were not identical. Mr Jarvis had received from England the rules of the English Wyandotte Club, and a rough draft based on those rules was submitted to the meeting. After a long discussion it was decided to form a club to be called the North Island AVyandotte Club; that the rough draft of rules as submitted by Mr Jarvis be adopted pro tern; and that, in view of Mr Jarvis's work during the past year in forming the club, he be invited to act as secretary. A large number of apologies for absence were received from breeders.
