(a prominent labour unionist) wrote to Air Lyttelton, Secretary of State for the Colonies, making inquiries. Air Lyttelton, in reply, quotes documentary evidence exposing Tse-tsu-shan’s antecedents, and adds: “Allegations from such a source are unworthy of investigation.” A FARM ATTACKED. CAPETOWN, August 15. Fourteen Chinese coolies on the East Rand deserted and attacked a farm. The occupier used his rciolver, killing throe. Tho remaining Chinamen there-, upon decamped.
