MEETING OF THE BRITISH ASSOCIATION. .(Received August 10, 10.35 p.vn.) CAPETOWN, August IG. The British Association for the Advancement of Science has opened its 1005 meeting* iho president, Hr Francis Darwin, F.R.S., sketched the attempts which have been made to formulate evolutionary speculation, with special reference to the principle of natural selection. It was arranged at the meeting of the association in England last year that the members should meet this year at Victoria Falls, on the Zambesi river.
