THE TITLED WORTHINGTONS.
(To the Editor "N.Z. Times.”) Sir.—-The story related in yonr columns this morning is'sad cnough.'but there ; . a weak spot in it ns regards the alleged relationship to the “titled Northingtons.” There was but one Earl Northing ton, who died leaving only a daughter and she married Lord Henley, and the barony of Northington afterwards was revived in his favour as a second title. Lord Henley’s name was "F.den,” but took the name of “Henley” in 1831. Lord Northington’s name was Henley there is no surname of Northington in the peerage.—l am, etc., A. S. A. August 9th.
