CRIMINAL CHARGES
PRESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, August 14. At tho Supreme Court to-day the jury returned a verdict of not guilty in tho case against William Flavello. upon a charge of attempting to commit a serious assault upon his daughter at Huahua, near Hokianga, in June last. The charge against a man named J >hn Millar, of attempting to commit a serious assault upon a Maori girl under tho age of twelve years, at Taumarunui, was then proceeded with. WANGANUI, August 14. At the Police Coui't this morning Edward Raines, charged with horse stealing, was committed for trial at the Supreme Court.
